Wildlife Conservation Our goals of wildlife conservation are to ensure that nature will be around for future generations to enjoy and to recognize the importance of wildlife and the wilderness to humans. Wildlife conservation has become an increasingly important practice needed to counteract to the negative effects of human activity. Wild animals have been facing many threats due to destruction, fragmentation or degradation of their habitats. When an ecosystem has been dramatically changed by human activities such as oil and gas exploration, commercial development or water diversion it may no longer be able to provide the food, water, cover, and places other animals need to raise their young.

Every day there are fewer and fewer places left that wild animals can call home. Over exploitation is the over use of wild animals and plant species by people for food, clothing, pets, medicine, sport, and many other purposes. People have always depended on nature for food, clothing, medicine, shelter and many other needs. Today though we are taking more than the natural world can supply. If we take too many individuals of a species from their natural environment, that species may no longer be able to survive. The loss of one species can affect many other species in an ecosystem.

We have been working with one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation organizations in Asia to help support wildlife conservation. To join contact us at info@riversandridges.com.
